Welcome, Hosanna!

Providence Family, meet the newest member of the Providence Staff team—Hosanna Gray.

I felt called into missions throughout all of my life as I continued just walking step by step in obedience to God.
— Hosanna Gray

Hosanna Gray is an Alliance Licensing Ministry Experience (ALME) resident who joined Providence as our Local and Global Partnerships Coordinator!

“This role is training me on how to encourage and empower people to do outreach,” she told me when I asked about her position. Through her position and now involvement in our Global Missions Team (GMT), Hosanna will equip people to engage other cultures in our community and world for the sake of sharing the gospel.

Hosanna is no stranger to ministering to people from around the world. She spent part of her childhood in the Philippines as a missionary kid and then moved back to the United States when she was eight-years-old. Her time spent living in the Philippines as a child has given her a heart for missions, specifically Asia.

Hosanna returned to the Philippines for a mission trip during her freshman year in high school.

“I felt called into missions throughout all of my life as I continued just walking step by step in obedience to God,” said Hosanna, “I am drawn to Southeast Asian countries, but I do not know where specifically I will be drawn.”

She may not know exactly where God will take her, but she knows wherever He takes her that her home will be cross-cultural.

Hosanna graduated from Grace University and spent the last two years as a missions intern with Citylight Church Omaha. She was connected to Providence through her mentor, Robin Laney, and is excited for her new role.

“My role [at Providence] encourages followers of Jesus to be missional, which is exactly what I want to do for the rest of my life,” she told me.

Even in her first few weeks of joining staff, she has been encouraged by the Providence community.

“Not only has the staff and congregation been so welcoming, but also the servant-hearted love and affection that flows out of others out of a love for Jesus is so evident,” said Hosanna. “Whether through GMT, ministry with the Santa Monica House, or sewing masks as a congregation, this group of people deeply desires to reflect the love of Christ and that is so encouraging!”

Providence, can we all take a moment to praise God for bringing Hosanna to us?! Please continue to pray for her as she adjusts to her new role, builds relationships, and seeks to glorify the Lord in all that she does for our Providence family.

Welcome Hosanna! We are so excited to serve alongside you.
